The Monument is in front of Raymond Building. You are facing Macdonald High School when you read it:
Taken from the 2006 Remembrance Ceremony:
"In 1931 the students of Macdonald College dedicated the oak trees around this playing field to honour those from
the college who gave their lives in the service of Canada in World War I. These living memorials remind us of their sacrifice that we might continue here the work of Peace. We who pass this way shall never forget. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we shall remember them.”
In addition to being formally welcome to attend the ceremonies at the monument, we have been invited to join the students at the
rear of our High School and lead the students in a march behind a bag piper over to the monument. We’ve been asked to arrive at around 9:50am if we wish to join the procession from the school to the monument.
